ICT Support Technician

i9 Education is a family owned and operated business of early learning centres. Our head office is located at Keilor Park closer to the Tullamarine Freeway.

The Role

  • Reporting to the ICT manager, this is a full-time permanent role for a passionate, self-motivated, qualified and experienced IT/ICT technician or support engineer.
  • To be successful you should have strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent telephone manner, can do attitude and problem-solving attitude. A personable approach, great communication skills and professionalism are all essential to this role.
  • In this role you should have the ability to work autonomously, but also have a strong team player mindset.

Typical duties

  • Complete assigned ICT tickets through Zendesk
  • Implement, manage, maintain and troubleshoot site networks
  • Manage and maintain network cabinets and cables
  • Assist in creating, documenting and implementing IT guidelines, support manuals and policies
  • Proactively test and troubleshoot network issues
  • Coordinate with the vendors to ensure all network related firmware’s are up to date
  • Manage and maintain all telephony networks, 3CX, Access points, Security Alarm systems and Intercom systems
  • Assist in the management of corporate assets and IT equipment including tagging and documenting assets
  • Ensure all ICT devices i.e., iPads, Laptops, ICD’s, Computers etc are in excellent condition and are working properly
  • Work effectively and cohesively with team members, share knowledge, and look for opportunities to improve business processes
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science (Minimum Diploma or Bachelors)
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Current and valid Australian driver’s licence
  • Knowledge & understanding of Technology software and vendors including sound understanding of an ICT Network, Security systems, WAN, LAN, Router, Modems etc
  • Understanding of Firewalls and Network security systems
  • Experience in managing an end-to-end network of a site
  • Basic understanding of software application maintenance
  • Experience in maintaining ICT Asset inventory
  • Understanding in Network System administration
  • Vendor management and coordination experience
  • Project implementation and management skills
